What you get

Instant results

Output appears in a second or two, not after a round trip to someone's server. Slow connection? Doesn't matter.

Works offline after first load

Once the page loads, your connection can drop. The tool keeps working. Great on planes, in cafés, anywhere flaky.

Free, forever

No account. No paywall. No ads. No data sold. Open in an incognito tab if you want.

Designed for real files

Heavy JPEGs, HEIC straight from your phone, transparent PNGs, animated GIFs.

  3. 3

    Download

Get the file in your chosen format. Original is untouched.

Common questions

How fast is the resize?

Instant for most files. A 5 MB JPG to 1920×1080 takes under 500 ms on a modern laptop. Because the work runs in your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas APIs, there is no upload step and no server queue to wait in.

Is AnyResizer really free?

Yes. No account, no paywall, no ads, no watermark. The core tools stay free.

What file types are supported?

JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, and animated GIF. Output formats depend on the tool — most support JPG, PNG, and WebP.

How large a file can I work with?

Up to 50 MB per file in most tools. Browser memory is the only real limit — recent phones and laptops handle 100 MP photos comfortably.

Does it work offline?

After the first page load, yes. Disconnect your network and the tool keeps working. Refresh requires connectivity until we ship the PWA wrapper.

Are my images sent to a server?

No — and that's why it's fast. All processing happens in your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas APIs. There is no upload endpoint on our side. Open the DevTools Network panel before you drop a file and you'll see zero outbound image requests.

Why a browser tool and not a desktop app?

Less friction. Nothing to install. Nothing to update. Works on any device with a modern browser, including phones.

Drop a file. Done.
